Air Arabia cancels Athens, Beirut, Amman and Bangkok flights

Air Arabia's Sharjah flights to Athens, Beirut, Amman, Bangkok, Doha and Kuwait were cancelled on 1 November, and Eurowings' Dubai return is postponed. Gulf News's list for Sunday 1 November, updated at 11.17am, shows Air Arabia's Sharjah flights to Chattogram, Dhaka, Athens, Amman, Kuwait, Beirut, Islamabad, Lahore, Doha, Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Damascus, Bangkok, Entebbe and London Gatwick cancelled, alongside its Abha, Dammam, Jizan, Riyadh and Tabuk services, and its Abu Dhabi flights to Dhaka and Multan; Gulf News notes that not all of these disruptions are related to the conflict or the regional security situation. At Dubai International, Riyadh Air's RX241 and RX243, flynas's XY811, XY209 and XY211 and Saudia's SV552 serving Riyadh, flynas's XY205 serving Gassim, Iraqi Airways' IA119 serving Kirkuk and SpiceJet's SG5060 serving Mumbai were cancelled, and flydubai flights serving Almaty, St Petersburg, Krabi, Tbilisi, Colombo, Bangkok Don Mueang, Astana and Samara, Uzbekistan Airways' Tashkent flight, SpiceJet's SG9060 and Air India's AI909 from Mumbai were delayed or retimed.

At Zayed International, Etihad's departures to Peshawar, Tel Aviv (EY610 and EY596), Paris and St Petersburg were delayed and no cancellation was listed. Among the European airlines, British Airways is scheduled to resume Dubai flights on 3 November, Lufthansa's return stands at 25 November, SWISS's planned 25 October return and Eurowings' planned 1 November return have both been postponed with a revised date yet to be confirmed, ITA Airways' Dubai flights are suspended to 30 November and Singapore Airlines' SQ494 and SQ495 to 28 February 2027; Gulf News's line that up to 36 weekly Dubai to Europe flights return between late October and December predates the Lufthansa Group postponement. Gulf News's briefing of 1 November said UAE airports report higher seat capacity as airlines prepare for winter demand, that some airlines have postponed planned returns, and that passengers should confirm flight status, rebooking and refunds with their airline before leaving for the airport; its briefing of the evening of 31 October advised residents to check with airlines and airports before travelling and to follow verified updates from official UAE channels rather than unconfirmed reports.

At the Manama Dialogue in Bahrain on 1 November, the UAE's diplomatic adviser, Anwar Gargash, said the UAE hopes for a diplomatic breakthrough between the United States and Iran but is braced for the worst, according to the AFP report carried by Gulf News. No further interception has been reported in Saudi Arabia since the drone destroyed over the Riyadh region on the morning of 31 October (see the Saudi Arabia thread). Residents booked on Air Arabia to Greece, Lebanon, Jordan, Thailand, Qatar, Kuwait or London, or with Eurowings or SWISS, should confirm the flight or their rebooking with the airline before leaving for the airport, and an unresolved complaint about a cancellation can be taken to the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority within 14 days.
