SWISS's Zurich to Dubai flight was cancelled on 31 October, and Eurowings' 1 November return to Dubai has been postponed without a new date. Gulf News's list for Saturday 31 October shows SWISS flight LX242 from Zurich cancelled at Dubai International, and reports that SWISS's planned return on 25 October and Eurowings' on 1 November have both been postponed with no new date confirmed, while Lufthansa's own return stands at 25 November and British Airways resumes Dubai on 3 November; the Lufthansa Group's announcement of 23 October, reported by Reuters, had given 25 November for all three airlines, so residents booked with SWISS or Eurowings should ask the airline for their rebooking or refund. Also cancelled at Dubai were SpiceJet's SG5060 from Mumbai, flydubai's FZ996 from Samara and its arrivals from Riyadh and Dammam, and the delays fell mostly on flights from Russia and Central Asia: Aeroflot from Moscow, Pobeda, S7 from Novosibirsk, flydubai from Yekaterinburg, Moscow, Almaty, Dushanbe, Ashgabat, Dhaka and Kathmandu, Uzbekistan Airways from Tashkent and Air India and Air India Express from Delhi and Kozhikode, with SpiceJet's Mumbai departure and the Aeroflot and Azimuth departures to Krasnodar delayed and Ariana Afghan's Kabul departure moved to 1 November.
At Zayed International, Etihad arrivals from Tel Aviv, Athens, Krabi and Casablanca were delayed and no departure was cancelled or delayed. Air Arabia's cancellations again reach beyond Saudi Arabia: from Sharjah to Dhaka, Cairo, Nairobi, Kuwait (two rotations), Bangkok, Entebbe and London Gatwick, alongside its Riyadh, Dammam and Abha flights, and from Abu Dhabi to Dhaka, Cairo, Kuwait and Tashkent; Gulf News notes that not every departure on the airport board carries a status and that not every cancellation is linked to the regional situation, as some are operational or technical. The list keeps ITA Airways' Dubai suspension to 30 November and Singapore Airlines' to 28 February 2027, with Singapore Airlines' non-stop Riyadh launch now postponed to 28 March 2027; The National's survey of 30 October had KLM paused to 27 March 2027 and Air France to 7 November.
Flights by Iranian airlines to and from the UAE, and the Emirates and flydubai codeshare to Tel Aviv, remain suspended until further notice. Gulf News's residents' update of 31 October advises passengers to check with their airline because schedules may change, and its briefing of the evening of 30 October said UAE airports are preparing for heavier winter traffic, that regional tensions may continue to affect some routes, that a flight listed as scheduled may still be delayed or changed at short notice, and that residents should follow official announcements rather than unconfirmed reports on social media. Saudi air defences intercepted drones over Riyadh, Madinah and the Makkah region on 30 October and over the Eastern Province and the south early on 31 October (see the Saudi Arabia thread).
Residents with a Thailand holiday booked on Air Arabia's Bangkok service, or flying to Kuwait, Nairobi, Entebbe, Tashkent or London Gatwick, should confirm the flight with the airline before leaving for the airport, and an unresolved complaint about a cancellation can be taken to the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority within 14 days.
