Kuwait, Bangkok and Gatwick flights cancelled on 29 October

Emirates cancelled three Dubai to Kuwait rotations on 29 October, and Air Arabia's Bangkok, London Gatwick, Kuwait and Beirut flights were cancelled. Gulf News's list for the day, taken from Emirates' status page, shows EK853, EK855 and EK871 from Dubai to Kuwait and EK854, EK856 and EK872 from Kuwait as cancelled for the second day running, with EK857 and EK858 scheduled; Emirates' Dubai flights to Peshawar and Sialkot and their returns were also cancelled, and Gulf News notes that not every cancellation is linked to the regional situation, as some are operational or technical. Air Arabia's cancellations again reach beyond Saudi Arabia: from Sharjah to Bangkok, London Gatwick, Kuwait, Beirut, Dhaka, Cairo, Cairo Sphinx, Sohag, Damascus, Entebbe, Yekaterinburg and six Moscow Domodedovo services, alongside its Dammam and Abha flights, and from Abu Dhabi to Dhaka, Alexandria, Amman, Kuwait and Aleppo; its Sharjah and Riyadh flights were listed without a status.

At Dubai International, eight flynas departures to Riyadh and Gassim and Ethiopian Airlines' Addis Ababa flight were cancelled and SpiceJet cancelled its Pune, Ahmedabad and Kochi services, while at Zayed International arrivals from Tel Aviv, Bahrain, Bangkok, Delhi, the Seychelles, Malé, Kathmandu, Tashkent and Casablanca were delayed. Gulf News also reports that some Emirates flights appear as cancelled on Dubai International's arrivals board while the airline's own status page lists them as operating, and advises passengers to verify with Emirates directly. Its briefing of 29 October said Dubai International is operating at full capacity, with scheduled departing seats in October up 24.3 per cent to 4.6 million, that flights by Iranian airlines to and from the UAE and the Emirates and flydubai codeshare to Tel Aviv remain suspended until further notice, and that a reopened airport does not mean every airline has returned; the line that up to 36 weekly Dubai to Europe flights return by December predates Lufthansa Group's postponement of its return to 25 November.

A missile aimed at the Eastern Province was intercepted early on 29 October (see the Saudi Arabia thread). Residents with a Thailand holiday booked on Air Arabia's Bangkok service, or flying to Kuwait or London Gatwick, should confirm the flight with the airline before leaving for the airport, and an unresolved complaint about a cancellation can be taken to the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority within 14 days.
