Air Arabia cancels Malé, Bangkok, Munich and Gatwick flights

Air Arabia's Sharjah flights to Malé, Bangkok, Munich, Krakow and London Gatwick were among the cancellations listed on 27 October, together with its Abu Dhabi flight to Colombo. Gulf News's list for the day also shows Air Arabia's Sharjah flights to Doha, Kuwait, Beirut, Amman, Damascus, Dhaka, Chattogram, Cairo, Cairo Sphinx, Sohag and Entebbe and three Moscow Domodedovo services cancelled, with its Abu Dhabi flights to Kuwait, Amman, Chattogram, Cairo Sphinx, Sohag, Faisalabad and Multan, alongside its Saudi routes; Gulf News notes that not every cancellation is linked to the regional situation, as some are operational or technical. Among arrivals at Dubai International, flydubai's flights from Jeddah, Damascus, Moscow Vnukovo and St Petersburg, six flynas flights from Riyadh and one from Gassim, Emirates' EK8142 from Madrid, Ethiopian Airlines from Addis Ababa, AirSial from Islamabad and SpiceJet's SG5117 Kochi service were cancelled.

Gulf News's briefing of 27 October said there is no evacuation instruction and no change in the UAE's domestic security posture, and advised passengers to check the whole itinerary, including connections, with the airline, since an airport reopening does not mean a particular airline has resumed. Flights by Iranian airlines to and from the UAE remain suspended until further notice, as does the Emirates and flydubai codeshare to Tel Aviv. The Lufthansa Group's return to Dubai remains postponed to 25 November; the line in Gulf News's list that up to 36 weekly European flights return from late October predates that postponement.

Residents with a Maldives, Thailand or Sri Lanka holiday booked on Air Arabia, or flying to Europe on its Munich, Krakow or Gatwick services, should confirm the flight with the airline before leaving for the airport, and an unresolved complaint about a cancellation can be taken to the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority within 14 days.
