Pakistan routes clear of UAE cancellations on 31 October

No flight to or from a Pakistani airport was listed among the cancellations or delays at Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah on 31 October. Emirates' Peshawar and Sialkot flights, cancelled on 29 October, were not listed again. Gulf News's list for Saturday 31 October, updated at 11.07am, names no Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Multan or Quetta service: the cancellations at Dubai were flydubai arrivals from Riyadh, Dammam and Samara, a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai and a SWISS flight from Zurich, the delays fell mostly on flights from Russia and Central Asia, Abu Dhabi listed delayed Etihad arrivals from Tel Aviv, Athens, Krabi and Casablanca and no cancellation, and Air Arabia's cancellations from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi covered its Saudi, Bangladeshi, Egyptian, Kuwaiti, Ugandan, Kenyan, Uzbek, Thai and British routes and no Pakistani one.

Gulf News notes that not every departure on the airport board carries a status, that not every cancellation is linked to the regional situation, as some are operational or technical, and that passengers should rely on the airline's latest update rather than the original schedule. flydubai's suspension of its Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar flights was due to end on 26 October; by 31 October no announcement from the airline confirming the restart had been published in the UAE or Pakistani press, and its travel updates page again could not be opened for this check, so passengers from those three cities should confirm with flydubai or their travel agent that the flight is operating before paying for a ticket. Gulf News's residents' update of 31 October advises passengers to check with their airline because schedules may change, and its briefing of the evening of 30 October said UAE airports are preparing for heavier winter traffic, that a flight listed as scheduled may still be delayed or changed at short notice, and that residents should follow official announcements rather than unconfirmed reports on social media; neither cited new guidance from the UAE government for visitors, and flights by Iranian airlines to and from the UAE remain suspended. PIA's Riyadh flights remain suspended with no date, and Saudi air defences intercepted drones over Riyadh, Madinah and the Makkah region on 30 October and over the Eastern Province and the south early on 31 October (see the Saudi Arabia thread).

Confirm your flight with the airline before leaving for the airport.
