Emirates Peshawar and Fly Jinnah Lahore flights cancelled

Emirates cancelled its Dubai and Peshawar flights EK636 and EK637 on 28 October, and Fly Jinnah's flight 9P512 from Lahore was cancelled at Dubai. Gulf News's list for the day shows EK637 from Peshawar to Dubai and EK636 from Dubai to Peshawar as cancelled on Emirates' own status page, and Fly Jinnah's 9P512 from Lahore among the cancelled arrivals at Dubai International; no Karachi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot or Quetta flight appeared among the cancellations at Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Sharjah, the Air Arabia Abu Dhabi services to Faisalabad and Multan cancelled on 27 October were not listed, and Gulf News notes that not every cancellation is linked to the regional situation. An Emirates Peshawar to Dubai flight was also cancelled on 7 October. flydubai's suspension of its Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar flights was due to end on 26 October; by 28 October no announcement from the airline confirming the restart had been published in the UAE or Pakistani press, and its travel updates page again could not be opened for this check, so passengers from those three cities should confirm with flydubai or their travel agent that the flight is operating before paying for a ticket.

Gulf News's briefing of 28 October cited no new guidance from the UAE government for residents, said flights by Iranian airlines to and from the UAE remain suspended, and advised passengers to check their flights with the airline and to rely on official UAE channels for security notices. PIA's Riyadh flights remain suspended with no date, and a missile aimed at Taif was intercepted early on 28 October (see the Saudi Arabia thread). Confirm your flight with the airline before leaving for the airport.
