flydubai extends Saudi cancellations to 5 November

flydubai has cancelled its Riyadh, Dammam and Abha flights to 5 November, and Emirates' first Jeddah rotation of 30 October was cancelled. Two missiles aimed at Riyadh were intercepted on the evening of 29 October. flydubai said on Friday 30 October that it had cancelled all flights to Abha, Dammam and Riyadh up to and including 5 November because of the regional disruption, that it continues to fly to Jeddah, Madinah, Taif, Tabuk, Al Qassim and Ha'il, and that it expects some disruption to its Saudi schedule; it asks passengers to check their flight status and keep their contact details current, according to Khaleej Times and ARN News Centre. The airline had listed the three routes to resume on 30 October.

Emirates' listing for 30 October, reported by Gulf News, shows its Dubai to Jeddah flight EK801 and the return EK802 cancelled while EK803 to EK806 are scheduled, every Dubai flight to Riyadh and Dammam cancelled, and its Madinah services operating; Gulf News's briefing of 30 October repeats Emirates' plan to resume Jeddah on 30 October and Riyadh and Dammam on 8 November but notes that none of the 30 October return flights had operated as of 29 October, so confirm the booking with the airline. Etihad's Abu Dhabi flights to Riyadh and Dammam and its EY601 to EY604 Jeddah services remain cancelled through 5 November, Air Arabia's Sharjah flights to Riyadh, Dammam and Abha were cancelled on 30 October, and three flynas departures to Riyadh and one to Gassim were cancelled at Dubai. The Saudi-led coalition said its air defences intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles launched towards Riyadh on Thursday evening; Civil Defence issued warnings for Riyadh, Al Kharj and Najran and lifted them about 20 minutes later, and on Friday it said falling debris had caused a minor injury to one citizen and damaged a house and a vehicle, according to Khaleej Times and Arab News.

Early on Friday the coalition said it had intercepted a cruise missile launched towards western Saudi Arabia and destroyed a drone over the Makkah region, with no casualties reported, according to Anadolu Agency and the AFP report carried by Arab News. The Houthis claimed six attacks on Thursday, including on the airports at Riyadh and Dammam and the Ras Tanura and Rabigh refineries, in the IANS report carried by Gulf News; the Saudi statements reported only the interceptions. Among other airlines, Gulf News lists KLM's Riyadh and Dammam flights suspended to 27 November, ITA Airways' Riyadh flights to 18 November, Lufthansa's Riyadh flights to 18 November and Dammam to 30 November, British Airways returning to Riyadh with one daily flight from 3 November with its Jeddah service discontinued, Eurowings' Jeddah service from 12 November, Cathay Pacific's Riyadh flights to 31 January 2027 and Scoot's Singapore to Jeddah flights to 2 December.
