Etihad has extended its cancellations: all Abu Dhabi flights to Riyadh and Dammam, and the EY601 to EY604 Jeddah services, are cancelled through Saturday 24 October. The airline describes the situation as dynamic, says further schedule changes are possible and asks passengers to check their flight status on its website before travelling. Riyadh's position is still unclear: The National reported on 18 October that King Khalid International Airport had reopened, without naming a source, while Gulf News listed it as suspended on the strength of foreign travel advisories, and no reopening announcement from Saudi Arabia's civil aviation authority has been found.
Emirates cancelled all of its Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam flights on 18 October, continues to fly to Madinah and lists Riyadh services from 20 October; flydubai's Riyadh, Dammam and Abha cancellations run to 19 October; and Air Arabia has given no date to resume its Sharjah flights to Riyadh, Dammam, Abha, Jizan and Taif. Residents travelling for Umrah through Jeddah should confirm their flight with the airline before leaving for the airport.
