Emirates first Jeddah rotation cancelled for a fifth day

Emirates' first Jeddah rotation was cancelled for a fifth day on 3 November, and drones were intercepted over the Riyadh and Makkah regions on 2 and 3 November. Gulf News's list for Tuesday 3 November shows Emirates' EK801 to Jeddah and the return EK802 cancelled while EK803 to EK806 are scheduled, every Dubai flight to Riyadh (EK815, EK817 and EK819) and Dammam (EK821, EK823 and EK827) and their returns cancelled, and its Madinah flights EK807 and EK808 arrived with EK809, EK810, EK2537 and EK2538 scheduled. flydubai's Tabuk flights FZ881 and FZ882, cancelled on 2 November, were listed as scheduled, alongside its Jeddah, Madinah, Gassim, Ha'il and Taif flights, while Riyadh, Abha and several other Saudi routes had no status shown, which by itself does not mean cancellation. Etihad's Abu Dhabi flights to Riyadh and Dammam and its EY601 to EY604 Jeddah services remain cancelled through 5 November, Air Arabia's Sharjah flights to Riyadh, Abha and Jizan were cancelled, and at Dubai International Saudia's SV552 and SV553 and flynas flights to and from Riyadh were cancelled.

The coalition spokesman, Turki al-Maliki, announced the interception of two drones in the Riyadh area on 2 November, according to AFP via Gulf News, and of a drone in the Makkah region on 3 November, according to Asharq Al-Awsat, with no casualties or damage reported; the Houthis' claim to have targeted Dammam airport with two drones has not been confirmed by Saudi authorities. Gulf News now lists British Airways with one daily Riyadh flight and its Jeddah route discontinued, while TTG reported on 30 October a Riyadh restart on 11 January 2027, so passengers should confirm with British Airways; it also lists Scoot's Singapore to Jeddah flights cancelled to 2 December, ITA Airways' Riyadh flights to 18 November and Qatar Airways' Dammam service suspended with Jeddah reduced to four daily flights. Other dates are unchanged, including IndiGo's Saudi flights to 14 November, Akasa Air's Jeddah flights to 18 November and Riyadh to 30 November, Lufthansa's Riyadh flights to 18 November and Dammam to 30 November, KLM's Riyadh and Dammam flights to 27 November and Air France's Riyadh flights to 14 November.

Residents travelling for Umrah should confirm their flight to Jeddah or Madinah with the airline before leaving for the airport, treat Emirates' Jeddah schedule as subject to change, and follow Civil Defence alerts while in the Kingdom.
