Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC, told the Security and History Dialogue in Riyadh on 6 September that the unified tourist visa would "see the light soon", without giving a launch date, fee, validity or application process. Until it opens, each Gulf country's own visa rules apply to visitors.
